Registration limits and cancellations

• Due to limited capacity, only around 80 tickets are available for in-person participants.
• Registration cancellations will be accommodated until the deadline of the 7th June, 2025 by writing to info@squids.ch. Banking fees will be deducted from the refund. Cancellations made on or after June 7, 2025 will not be eligible for a refund.

Registration fees

• In-person Master student fee: 150 CHF
• In-person PhD student fee: 200 CHF
• In-person regular fee: 250 CHF (non-students)
• Extra guest for dinner: 60 CHF
• Online attendance: free for students, 20 CHF regular

The in-person fee covers: Lecture attendance, access to the online server, abundant coffee breaks, and two evening meals (the welcome reception on Monday and the school dinner on Wednesday).

You pay the fee immediately upon registration.

Payments are processed by Stripe (eg. credit card payment).

Student support

• Deadline to apply for student support: 15th of May AoE. Notification on the 20th.
• Please use this form to apply for student support.
• Do not register for the school (by buying a ticket) before you receive the notification for your support application. If your request is successful, we will send you a unique discount code that you can use to waive the registration fee when checking out of the shop.
• The support is aimed at PhD students, and master students on their last year, whose host institution cannot cover their travel costs.
• We have a limited number of grants. Priority will be given to students in the final year of their studies, living in Europe. The needs and means of individual institutions will be taken in consideration.
• UZH and ETH students may volunteer for helping out at the conference in exchange for waiving the conference fee. Typical tasks include sitting at the registration table, handling dinner logistics, helping participants find their way and troubleshooting during the school. We have room for 5 volunteers. If you are interested, email nuriya@squids.ch. Please mention your availability during the conference week and the week before.
